Hotel Haikko Manor & Spa

2013
Porvoo

Architecture | Principal design

Challenge

The historically valuable, preserved Hotel Haikko was in need of renovation. Reconfigurating the lobby area and other functions as well as a new lift was needed. Also, reconfiguring the rooms, renovating them and improving the air conditioning were a part of the renovation.

Benefit

The hotel was brought to the 21st century while carefully respecting the historical elements. The lift was fitted into the challenging lobby area without compromising the spirit and dignity of the building. Also, new room categories were created and the functionality of the rooms was improved. Technical solutions were seamlessly integrated into the whole. Professional project management and a partnership with the client ensured the success of this hotel project.
