Challenge
For the staff restaurant and conference center, the Elisa Ideal Work concept was followed: the spaces had to adapt to diverse working methods and interactions. Collaboration with Sodexo, which operates the restaurant services at Elisa’s Pasila Campus, began by defining the customer journey. The layout of the spaces, the placement of service points, serving lines, cash registers, and café furniture; the entire concept began to take shape through effective dialogue. Additionally, future goals for user numbers created challenges in placing the space’s functions. Currently, there are about 500 users, and in the future, the spaces will serve up to 1,000 people.
Benefit
The staff restaurant Juurakko caters to various types of diners and offers the opportunity to use the space as a working environment as well. Juurakko is not your typical staff restaurant; with varied furniture, colors, and space-dividing elements, it creates a space that supports diverse use throughout the day. The heart of the staff restaurant, the event plaza Assembly and café Kivi, form a lounge that provides a setting for both work and relaxation, in line with Sodexo’s Coffice concept, which oversees the restaurant and café services. Surrounding the event plaza is a set of reservable meeting rooms, serving both Elisa employees and partners.
At Elisa’s Pasila Campus, the restaurant world combines meetings, events, great food, and café culture. The spaces create an attractive hub, where the high-quality restaurant and café act as meeting points, enticing employees and their partners to eat, relax, meet one another, and work alone or together.
