Challenge
The historically significant hotel building, which is under heritage protection, was in need of renovation. The existing structure required a reorganization of the lobby areas and operational spaces, as well as the addition of a new passenger elevator. Additionally, there was a need for a variety of room types, prompting a rethinking of the room layouts. The renovation also aimed to update the guest rooms and incorporate a more efficient air conditioning system as part of the overall design.
Benefit
The hotel’s service flow and functionality were brought into the modern era. The elevator was seamlessly integrated into the lobby areas at a challenging location, ensuring that the building’s architecture, character, and historical value remained intact. Additional room categories were introduced, and their functionality was enhanced.
Technical solutions were seamlessly incorporated into the overall design. Strong project management and close collaboration with the client ensured the successful completion of the hotel project.
