Sector Alarm | Tunnelmallinen toimisto, joka tukee työyhteisön kaikkea toimintaa

“We have an absolutely amazing office. Kohina played a major role in the design process.”

– Operations Director, Sector Alarm

The muted shades of the brand colors give Sector Alarm’s spaces a more timeless and softer feel.

The workspaces of the Sector Alarm team create an intimate world where peace and community come together. There is also time for more casual encounters, for which a cozy kitchen and lounge area was designed.

“In addition to making the spaces visually stunning, we also ensured they were functional, comfortable, and practical. At the same time, we built an alarm center that fully meets 100% of the required standards.”

Challenge

Sector Alarm’s lease agreement in Pasila was coming to an end, and they needed larger spaces to support their growth. With the office move, it was the perfect time to assess the functionality and atmosphere of the spaces in collaboration with the staff. The goal was to create a comfortable office environment for salespeople and other stakeholders, a place where they would enjoy coming. The spaces had to support Sector Alarm’s international brand and values, while still leaving room for local influences.

The staff had the opportunity to provide feedback through the Sector Way workplace survey, which explored workspace, practices, and tools. The survey revealed that the employees wanted the workspace to be pleasant, flexible, and practical. They hoped for spaces and work practices that would support community and free discussions, while also emphasizing the need for quiet spaces and work zones for focused tasks.

Benefit

The spaces were transformed into a unique environment where Sector Alarm employees could gather together and which supported the needs of different teams. The office was designed with functional workspaces tailored to each team’s needs, as well as strong and atmospheric lounge and meeting spaces. The design also included retreat rooms for tasks requiring intense concentration, allowing employees to work ergonomically in complete privacy. Special needs were also considered; for example, if someone suffers from migraines, they could retreat to a completely dark room to recover.

The design took into account the interior concept of the Swedish headquarters, with local elements added. A custom interior concept was developed in close collaboration with the client. The office was designed to create a calm atmosphere using muted Scandinavian-style tones and timeless furniture and material choices. Distinctive elements of Sector Alarm’s visual identity, such as black ceiling areas, parquet floors, red hues, and a golden meeting room, were incorporated. The result was a dynamic and personalized office space.
