Responsible design brings savings.
Our goal is to make sustainable and cost-effective choices by carefully evaluating what should be renewed, preserved, left untouched, or repurposed. We design spaces that stand the test of time, offer flexibility, and maintain high quality. Responsible design offers our clients many benefits, including cost savings, a healthier work environment, the promotion of social and environmental responsibility, and increased employee engagement.

Carbon Footprint Calculation to Support Responsible Decision-Making.
We offer carbon footprint calculation services for projects. Our carbon footprint calculation tool helps assess the environmental impacts of various projects. The calculation is based on the Finnish Ministry of the Environment’s low-carbon building assessment method and the Finnish Green Building Council’s (FIGBC) guidelines for evaluating the carbon footprint of space design.
By combining cost estimates with carbon footprint calculations, decisions can be made in a data-driven, cost-effective, and sustainable way.

We are committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
Kohina is committed to achieving carbon neutrality in its operations by 2030. We are part of the Finland Chamber of Commerce‘s first climate program, where our carbon footprint for 2023 was calculated (Scope 1 & 2). According to our action plan, our goal is to reduce our emissions by half by 2027 and achieve full carbon neutrality by 2030. We will report our progress annually to the Finnish Chamber of Commerce’s sustainability board.
